Winding down in the evening

The end of the day is a good time for slower practice. These poses stay low to the floor and are held for longer, with the breath kept long and easy.

How to use this

  • Dim the lights if you can, and stay in each pose for several slow breaths.
  • Finish lying down for a few minutes before getting up.

Keep in mind

  • This is general information about movement, not medical advice.
  • Move within a range that feels comfortable. Stop if anything hurts, and ease off if you feel dizzy or short of breath.
  • If you have an injury or a health condition, or are pregnant, check with a doctor or a qualified teacher first.
