Winding down in the evening
The end of the day is a good time for slower practice. These poses stay low to the floor and are held for longer, with the breath kept long and easy.
How to use this
- Dim the lights if you can, and stay in each pose for several slow breaths.
- Finish lying down for a few minutes before getting up.
The poses

Child's Pose
Balasana
Folds forward with the forehead resting down.

Supported Bridge
Salamba Setu Bandha
Rests the hips on a block or cushion with the back on the floor.

Supine Spinal Twist
Supta Matsyendrasana
Lets the knees drop to one side while lying on the back.

Reclined Butterfly
Supta Baddha Konasana
Lets the knees fall open with the soles of the feet together.

Corpse Pose
Savasana
Lies still on the back to finish.
